MODELING JOB SCAMS
Are they advertising modeling jobs? Do they claim that models are needed for a major department store fashion show, and that "no experience is necessary"? Don't fall for it! They have to be a licensed modeling agency in order to make their money following through on what they advertise, if they are referring models into modeling jobs. Also, modeling jobs all require experience, and they cannot give it to you. These job offers are bait to trick models into buying the expensive services that the advertiser is really selling!
There are businesses out there which are modeling management companies which claim to refer models into modeling jobs and which are not licensed modeling and talent agencies. Some of them advertise modeling jobs and calls for models to be in fashion shows in the newspaper and on the radio. It is illegal for them to make any money referring models to modeling jobs, and because of this there is not incentive, or reason, to follow through on their claims of finding jobs for models when they cannot make money doing so. Models should stay away from such modeling management companies, as their only purpose is to sell models and aspiring model worthless, overpriced services such as modeling portfolio photography services and composite cards. Get those services on your own from a professional modeling portfolio photographer who does not advertise modeling jobs or model management.
