Photograph by Tampa photographer C. A. Passinault.Image four of our online portfolio of another Tampa model. This photograph, if we are not mistaken, was taken on location in the Tampa Bay area. The best modeling portfolio photographs are location shots. This is another great picture. This is the fifth model photograph on Tampa Bay Modeling. Pictures featured in our thumbnail array may not be the same as those of models which are in our featured model section, but often, they are one and the same.Unmatched in any Florida modeling market. The quality of this image is excellent! Photograph by C. A. Passinault, our resident photographer and modeling expert.Another top Tampa model gets their look on. The best models can obtain a wide range of looks, as you can see when you look at other pictures of this model! Is it any wonder why more and more companies and art directors are booking independent models without going through an agency? Proof that you can be a professional model, with a lucrative career, without being dependent upon an agency to find and book modeling jobs!Another awesome photograph of a Tampa model by modeling photographer C. A. Passinault, lead photographer Aurora PhotoArts, and director of Tampa Bay Modeling. For modeling portfolio work in the Tampa Bay area, nothing beats location work. Studio photography is not nearly as cost effective, or appropriate, for modeling portfolio work.Keep in mind that this picture, for a modeling portfolio, was taken by a qualified modeling portfolio photographer, C. A. Passinault, for a specialized, professional market, which is modeling. A wedding photographer or a portrait studio will not be able to give models what they need for an effective modeling portfolio, as you have to know what you are doing! This is the 12th picture in our Tampa Bay Modeling online portfolio. Yet another Tampa model shows a marketable look in their portfolio. The best models are capable of the most looks, and are not locked into a single look!Agency model or independent model? It doesnt matter, anymore, especially in Tampa Bay. Professional models like this one can be booked without going through an agency, saving both the model and the job agency fees.Modeling portfolios need at least six looks, and by looks, we mean different looks. A composite cards needs at least five, on average, with a headshot on the front, and four different looks on the back of the comp card. This Tampa model is demonstrating a marketable look right now, in this photography. Picture by C. A. Passinault.

Tampa Bay Modeling Director C. A. Passinault is a nationally recognized modeling andTampa Bay Modeling director C. A. Passinault during a television interview for Tampa Bay Modeling. talent expert, as well as one of the top modeling and talent photographers in Florida. He has specialized in talent headshots, headshot photography, modeling portfolio photography, modeling portfolio development, composite card design, and advanced independent modeling and talent career tools for over a decade. He is the leading modeling and talent expert in the Tampa Bay area, and the entertainment technologies that he is working with are changing entire industries.
C. A. Passinault, as a photographer, was not impressed with the Tampa modeling and talent agencies at the start of his career as a professional Tampa photographer, when he made the rounds at the agencies like he was supposed to, according to all of the “modeling” books and information available at the time. Looking around at all of the modeling scams and shady agency practices, which were hurting models and their modeling careers, Passinault began researching other ways of making a business out of what he loved, and what he was born to do; photographing models and talent.
Back in those days, around 2000-2001, the only way that a photographer could “legitimately”, in the eyes of the industry, shoot modeling portfolios and talent headshots was to have those clients referred to them by the agencies. Photographers, in order to be recognized, HAD to work with the agencies, and were dependent upon them, much like the models were. Passinault refused to compromise, and refused to be dependent upon agencies. He became one of the first independent talent photographers, learning from pioneering independent models who were booking modeling jobs without going through the agencies.
Passinault also realized that the agency-only mentality of the modeling industry was the root of most modeling scams, and that it actually enabled them. With the agency way seen as the only “legitimate” way to work as a model or as a talent photographer, agencies had power, and that power corrupted many of them. Modeling and talent agencies also crossed the line; instead of working for models, like they were supposed to, they tried to manage models, which was a conflict of interest because they also worked for, and managed, the competition of the models whom they were supposed to be working for, who were other models. The modeling industry was backwards, corrupt, and a better way had to be found. That was capitalism, and opening up the market.
In September 2001, C. A. Passinault started his first modeling resource site, Independent Modeling. Within a few short years, Independent Modeling became one of the leading modeling resource sites in the world. It was effective, and controversial. Passinault also began taking on modeling scams in 2003, and developed the most advanced scam fighting tools in the world. Tampa modeling and talent scams were the first to be affected by these efforts, and many of them were either crippled, or gave up and went out of business.
In 2004, a group of models, inspired by Independent Modeling, started Tampa Bay Modeling. Independent Modeling completely supported the site, and soon, most of the work on Independent Modeling was diverted to the new regional modeling resource site. Tampa Bay Modeling became a test bed for the latest modeling resources and career tools. As an example, reverse auctions were deployed on the new site in late 2004, and the use of reverse auctions in the modeling portfolio photography business not only caused hundreds of budget photographers to go out of business, but stabilized fair photography rates in an industry which was crippled by the cheap photography caused by digital photography technology.
In 2006, C. A. Passinault and Independent Modeling took over Tampa Bay Modeling. By 2008, Tampa Bay Modeling was the authority on modeling in the Tampa Bay market, and a round of media interviews began, with professional independent models making regular appearances on television programs for Tampa Bay Modeling. A new sister regional modeling site, Florida Modeling Career, was also launched.
C. A. Passinault continues to lead Tampa Bay Modeling, Independent Modeling, Florida Modeling Career, and Advanced Model. He is one of the leading modeling and talent experts in the world, and is also the top modeling and talent photographer in Florida.
