		MODEL SCAMS - SCAM TIPS - REPORT SCAM MODEL PRINT SALE SCAMS When modeling for stock sales or any print job, pay careful attention to the release that you sign. If the use of pictures and compensation are not specific and are left vague, you have no control on how the pictures are used or to whom they are sold to! PROTECT your image and preserve the professional integrity of your career! Do not trust the photographer to do what is in your best interest or accept a verbal promise. Get it in writing, and if you don't understand the written agreement, either get your attorney to look over it BEFORE you sign it or supply your own written contract. For your safety, NEVER do any shoot, regardless of the level of compensation, without a written agreement covering it. We have had reports of photographers in the Tampa Bay market taking stock pictures of models and selling them to adult entertainment companies and porn sites against the wishes or knowledge of the model. In most cases, the model was never compensated for those sales, either. Scams listed here are not limited to models, and different types can be easily combined for new types of scams. If you cannot CLARIFY their intentions and VERIFY their references, go somewhere else to do business. It's professionally responsible to do so and lowers your risk. There are lots of great companies out there, like our advertisers and the companies in our resource sections, who are not scams. You owe it to your career to shop around and be selective.
